"LITTLE WOMEN" a play by Louisa May Alcott

Adapted by Heather Chrisler
Directed by Liz Comstock-Smith
Assistant Director: Brid Corrigan

Set during the American Civil War (1861-65), the four March sisters create scenes of love, loss, and adventure in their attic. Jo goes on a journey of artistic self-discovery and coming-of-age as she struggles to become the great writer she longs to be. The triumphs and troubles of Meg, Beth, Amy, and even Laurie, the girls' neighbour and confidant, are her constant inspiration. It is, however, from an immense tragedy that Jo finds her voice as an artist, and moves into adulthood with the knowledge that while families change and grow apart, the ones we love are always close at heart.

A bit about this adaptation:

Little Women has been adapted numerous times for stage and screen. This version is a simple, playful and intelligent retelling of the story of the four young March sisters, set in the attic of the family home, which the actors adapt into different venues.
